Well, it's been awhile. Life has been busy and nothing seems to get done.
I'm at work on a break. Just returned from buying myself a soda thinking I had bought a cherry cola when in fact it is DIET. I detest diet drinks.
A new reorg at work has kept my mind occupied, which is very good since it means that I still have a bloody job.
We all sit in cubicles here at work and sometimes I hear stuff I dun wanna hear. For instance, I know some really private things about this man's mother (never even met the guy, who sits in the aisle next to me). She is an alcoholic that had been admitted to a hospital then released prematurely to her boyfriend that has Parkinson's disease. It's sad, but at the same time, I don't need to know that she "really" fried her brain "this time around" and that she cannot control her bodily functions. Yanno, I eat lunch in my cube sometimes.
But aside from cubicle soap operas, I haven't done a darn thing in preparing for Christmas, i.e., decorate my apartment, send out cards, buy gifts, etc. I really need to get on the ball.
I'm looking forward to taking a few days off from work and spending time with my family. It'll be great sitting in Meerie's livingroom with the fire going and watching DVD's while nibbling on leftovers from Christmas dinner. Unfortunately, Buv and Jennifer won't be here for the holidays. They will be going to Wisconsin to spend it with her parents.
I'm in the mood for some warm roasted chestnuts! Of course, I'll have to sell my car just to purchase a pound, but I think this year it'll be worth it :)
