My gallery is expanding. I've added 10 ATCs to my Bink gallery. I will be mailing them out for a trade that I am participating in at the Nervousness site. I've added a postcard gallery and I also received three patches to add to my quilt. Yay!

Weekend plans: Help mom do yard work, catch up on art projects and read.

You Beautiful Doll
Tonight, the chorus was introduced to "You Beautiful Doll." It is the up tune for next year's contest.

Sometimes I think I joined the chorus just so I could be around harmony, not necessarily be part of it.

Oh hell. Who am I kiddin'? I love to be part of it. It's just that sometimes when I hear a quartet sing, I am so mesmerized by the sound of four voices blending to make one. I'm tellin' ya - a cappella is it! Now, if only I can sing just as good so that one day I can be a bass diva :-)

Mari and her friend Sara was able to make it out and come see me rehearse - I was excited - heh. It was nice having my daughter out there seeing me be part of something that isn't mommy-oriented or stay-at-home related (I do those things really well - too well). Annyyyyhow, Mari says to me, "Wow! I'm surprised you guys were that good!" I think she is surprised 'cos she hears me rehearse at home and laffs her ass off.

OK, it ain't that funny.

Aside from a great evening, it is hotter than hell right now! It's almost 90 degrees and it's almost 11PM. It's probably about 98 degrees in my apartment. I live upstairs and you know what they say about how heat rises. Yah, but I think the reason why it's so ding-dang hot in my apartment is because my landlord decided to install new air conditioners and they aren't workin' yet! His timing is impeccable - if it was snowing outside, he'd just be installing new heaters.

So today, I received a notice that the adapter to my computer speakers is being recalled. Problem: The speaker power adapter's cord connector is not grounded, posing a
potential electric shock hazard.

Wunnerful.

I do have some good news - I applied and have been accepted into the Quilting Bees....they have the cutest little patches....I just love stuff like that! Went surfin' and took a Muppet test thingy....Here are the results:

I've been surfing and really I should be at the store shopping for toiletries. I tell myself I can last another day using my little travel toiletries, but the problem with that is I've been tellin' myself that for over a week and am now running low on my travel stuff. OK - I admit I'm lazy...and a procrastinator...and comfortably ensconced in my apartment with no desire whatsoever of going anywhere - even if it is for some deodorant, shampoo, conditioner and toothpaste (thank goodness I have enough TP to last at least another two weeks!).

While surfing I came across a pink Hello Kitty laptop. I thought that was pretty funny until I remembered that I was considering buying a Hello Kitty rice cooker. I really need to log off and go to Target.

I am new to this web log stuff. I've been surfing around and it seems that I am the only one that does not have her own domain. Hmm, should I get my own domain? Nah. Maybe later. I guess I should go and eat dinner instead - I've only been at the computer since this morning. I did prepare myself some edamame, but - er - over-cooked 'em.

I know - it's pathetic.

OK - Life is good again. The archive thing seems to be working. Don't ask me how because I simply don't know. I am thinking that perhaps it just took awhile for everything to get uploaded to the server - I just dunno.

Life sucks - I haven't figured out the archive thing.

Spent Friday with mom. We ended up doin' the shoppin' thing and had dinner at her house (Chinese style spareribs - yuM!). I also spent today with her and we just hung out and watched television. For once, we didn't run around town and it was nice. Watched some great movies. Plan to stay in all day tomorrow to work on more projects and update my pages. Gonna go nigh-nigh now - Cheers!

Chorus rehearsal went well, although I was a tad disappointed that we weren't able to review and tape, "Back in the Old Routine." I was so ready!

I've been missing Ken lately and think somebody should shoot me 'cos he ain't worth missing. The man's a twirp.

OK, I just wrote a lengthy post and lost the damn thing! Ya gotta love it.

Tonight I completed my artist trading cards for a LMAO that I joined @ Nervousness. I made eight cards in my bink series. My goal is to make at least 100 and get them circulated.

I am taking Friday off to spend the day w/mom. Gonna take her to lunch. I'm hopin' she'll choose Japanese - I've been in the mood. I am confident she'll choose either Japanese or Chinese. Mom is predictable.

Watch - she'll choose Italian.

Kimberly is watching "The Shield," and has graciously shared with me a gruesome scene about an Asian man's feet being nailed to the floor and his wife being murdered, then when he found that she was dead after the cops came and lifted him from the floor, the man shot himself dead.

Wunerful. This is my life tonight.

Good news. Erik found someone to take on Nervousness. Yay! Erik will stick around on a semi-active developer and advisement role. I am curious to see what kind of changes Guy will make.

Kim and I helped in the Spring Fair event at work yesterday. Aside from getting sunburnt and exhausted, the day went ok. Been in da mood for Japanese food and was gonna call mom to see if she wanted to go out to Umeko's, but exhaustion won out so I stayed home and worked on some projs.
