What the-?!...Son-of-a-?!...
Instead of staying the night when traveling for a business trip, manager opts to stay the weekend in order to visit his sons. Company foots the bill, i.e., pays for his corporate apartment and rental car.

Company is paying for one manager to fly out to conduct a training class while there is already a manager at the site that can do the same training.

A manager doesn't come into work because he's building his house and company pays his salary simply because he says he's telecommuting.

Announcement comes out that a department within company is reducing its headcount by 400 people due to cost cutting measures.

What the -?!...Son-of-a-?!...

Friday Five

I know - it's Monday...I'm a tad behind (grimace)...

1 Where were you born? Turlock, California

2 If you still live there, where would you rather move to? If you don't live there, do you want to move back? Why or why not? I don't live there now (thank the Goddess!). It's just not my cup of tea. It's a small town out of a Twilight Zone episode (shudders).

3 Where in the world do you feel the safest? That would be @ tubby's place.

4 Do you feel you are well-traveled? That's a big fat NO. I really need to do that more often.

5 Where is the most interesting place you've been? Bodi, Nevada. It's a ghost town that you have to drive for a few miles on unpaved road to reach. It's not a tourist trap. If you're looking for souvenir shops and food shops, then this isn't the place for you. All you will find there are the original buildings and the mine shafts. Kinda creepy, but definitely worth visiting. There is no electricity whatsoever so that park rangers that actually live there have to use camping lanterns and/or candles in the evening. They live in some of the homes there that have been restored at a bare minimum. The most awe inspiring site is when you drive over the hill and see the ghost town sprawled in the small valley - it's almost like the town is still alive like it was all those years ago. I've been there twice, definitely worth visiting every few years!
