Meerie
Hola :-)
I know. It's been awhile since I've posted. I've been preoccupied and simply did not feel like posting.
Thank you Babycakes and Susan for caring enough tobug me inquire of my whereabouts. Heh...
This weekend for Mother's Day, I'll be spending it with Meerie. Buv and Jennifer are driving up tomorrow and Maim will try to make it after she gets off from work. Buv and Jennifer plans to fix a special Mother's Day dinner tomorrow and then for Sunday, we're going to take Meerie to Rice Bowl, one of her fave restaurants - they sure serve some kickin' dim sum.
And, Meerie wants a new front door so I guess that's what we'll get her.
Dang.
Sometimes, I wish Meerie would let me buy her foo-foo stuff for Mother's Day, but she is always likin' the common sense gifts. Last year, it was a security door. I used to buy her clothes, but she politely yet firmly said please stop buying her clothes; "you're always trying to dress me like an old lady, Karen."
I guess she is right, but you'll be glad to know that I quit doin' that. Meerie is definitely a woman of her own standing and breed (methinks she is the last of her breed).
Man, I sure love my Meerie. Of course, she believes I don't love her enough, but that is Meerie. Unless you love her her way, then you don't love her that much. She can be such the dweeb woman. I can't change or fix how she thinks {me just had a realization --> maybe Meerie dun need fixin'}.
Bottom line: Love her as she is, which I have learned to do. Granted it took me over 30 years to learn that, but learned it I did. And, granted, I still slip and catch myself tryin' to change her way of thinkin'.
Anyhow, last weekend, I brought my bike over to Meerie's 'cos we've decided we're going to go bike ridin' every weekend. We = Meerie, Kim, myself and Maim. I'm kinda lookin' forward to it, although I must say, I know I'll go one block and whine, "I need:::pant, pant:::to go:::pant, pant:::back - I'm:::pant, pant:::only geared to go::: pant, pant:::one block."
Meerie doesn't have her bike yet, but she has one on order - it's a 3-wheeler and she is lovin' it. Although, she gave Kim and I a good laugh when she tried it out at the bike shop. *laffin*....she looked like a munchkin on wheels.
"Surely, you will adjust for me," she said to the bike guy.
"Of course," he says.
"Dang," I say looking at the seat. "that thing is as big as a hub cap. Are you comfortable?"
"Yes," she said. Then proceeded to get off the bike and nearly fell over bike and all 'cos she couldn't seem to relinquish the seat.
Where's an old-fashion banana seat when ya one?
Stay tuned for more "Meerie Episodes."
