My Weekend
I didn't spend Sunday watching movies after all, but instead found myself setting up my new computer. I decided to invest in one. It's a Gateway with an Intel dual processor (yeah!). It's been so long since I had a computer that was running well, I'm practically doing the happy feet dance.

Yesterday was pretty much about running around. Mom, Kim and me started the day by going to pick up Tink, mom's cockatiel, from the vet, which was about 30 miles away. Tink had not been feeling well; she was listless and wasn't eating. The doctor isn't sure what's going on, but Tink has responded well to treament so mom was allowed to take her home (Tink was at the vet for two days). Before we headed back to mom's, we stopped at a bird shop where she bought Tink a new cage. It's so huge, Tink looks like a little winged insect in her new cage.

Tink is doing better, but she's still under the weather. Mom has an appointment in two weeks to take her back to the vet for a follow-up.

Mom, Kim and I went out to a late lunch at Islands. The service sucked big time, but the food was pretty damned good. The Islands located in Folsom has great service, but for some reason the one in Elk Grove is horrible.

Afterwards, Kim went home and mom and I went to Best Buy where I bought my computer. Then when we got back to mom's house, we went out again to get a cuttlebone for Tink. We went to four different stores and they were all out! All the pet stores were closed so mom ended up going out today and getting one.

By the time we got back from the cuttlebone excursion last night, it was 11. Man, I was wiped out and ended up going to bed at about 2 this morning!

So how come I woke up at 8:00 today?

How's it Hangin', Peeps?
We're in the middle of a re-org at work. Emotions are running high, but know what? I'm excited because I am moving up in the corporate admin world. Yeah baby, my nipples are rock hard.

My daughter bought herself a 2007 Toyota Scion. The car suits her; it's sporty. She's loving it. I'm seriously thinking of buying her '97 Toyota Camry. It needs some work, but it's a good, reliable car. I'll have two cars if I decide to buy it. I'm not planning on selling my Cavalier.

The DVD's that I ordered have come in! I bought Night Breed, a cool movie that is a tad weird. I also ordered the The Prophecy movies 1-3 starring Christopher Walken, who plays as Gabriel, the arch angel. In addition, I ordered The Arrival movies 1 & 2 with Charlie Sheen, The Love Letter, which stars Kate Capshaw, The Last of the Dogmen starring Tom Berenger, I Love you, I Love you Not with Claire Danes and Slaughter of the Innocents with Scott Glenn.

I'll be doing some serious moving watching on Sunday.

On Saturday, I plan to go over mom's place and hang out. I always take Noodles with me. She enjoys sitting in her carrier as long as the car is in motion. Otherwise, she begins to bitch. "Mom, what the hell!? Let's get this show on the road! Now!"

I'll have to get some pictures of her posted, but she doesn't like having her picture taken. I have lots of snapshots showing the back of her feline head. Even though I get lots of photo opportunities, she fakes me out because every time I snap the camera, she moves and pretends it's an accident.

"Ohh, did you want me to pose? I'm terribly sorry, mom."

I'm Back
It's been awhile, but I've finally gotten off my ass and moved over to Blogger. It sure feels good to be posting again.

It would appear that there's no way to migrate my posts/comments over from MT.
